Shipping, Returns and Refund Policies

At present we are operating on a 3-4 working day turnaround time. I keep shipping costs as low as possible and ship worldwide. If your order is urgent, please contact me before ordering at laura@thespeckyseamstress.com and I will see what I can do to help.

You will receive a notification once your order is shipped – if your order has not arrived in the timeframe listed, please contact me on laura@thespeckyseamstress.com, using your order number in the subject line.

IF YOU ARE OUTSIDE OF THE UK: you will be liable to any customs charges due on delivery.

UK Shipping

You can select 2nd class or 1st class shipping at checkout.

2nd class – £2.00

1st Class – £2.50

UK packages are not considered lost until 11 working days after dispatch. Unfortunately I cannot offer a refund or replacement until after this time has passed.

International Shipping

International shipping rates are as follows:

EU: £3.50

Rest of the World: £4.75

I sent international mail ‘standard’ airmail – if you would like to upgrade this please contact me.

International packages are not considered lost until after 25 working days (for EU) and 32 working days (for ROW). Unfortunately I cannot offer a refund or replacement until after this time has passed.

Returns

I operate a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return. To be eligible for a return, you must provide proof of purchase and your item(s) must be in the same condition that you received it, unused and in its original packaging. Please contact me on laura@thespeckyseamstress.com to request a return. If the request is accepted, you can return your order to the return address on the postage label. You will be responsible for the return postage costs, unless the item is faulty.

Faulty items
If there is an issue with your items, please do contact me at laura@thespeckyseamstress.com

Unfortunately, I cannot accept returns on products listed as ‘seconds’ or ‘remnants’.

Refunds
If your return is accepted and you are eligible for a refund, a refund will be made directly to the original payment method, and will notify you that this has been actioned. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too. If you received your item as a gift, I can issue a voucher or exchange, but refunds can only be made to the original purchaser.
